What we collect

When you send the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, your business, what it does and where, the extras you tick (and how many blog posts, if you tick those), your email, your phone number if you give it, and your message.

When you ask for a free website check on the home page, we receive your name, your website's address and the email or phone number you give, so we can send you what we find.

When you call or email us, we get your number or email address and whatever you tell us.

We don't ask for payment details on this website.

How we use it

Only to reply to you, prepare a quote, and build and look after your website if we work together. We don't sell your information, rent it out, or share it for advertising.

Who else handles it

This website is hosted by Netlify. Netlify receives contact form messages and passes them on to our inbox, and like any web host it records basic technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser, to run and protect the site.

Our email is handled by Google (Gmail).

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It collects details such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view, and sets cookies to do it. Google's own privacy policy explains how Google uses that data.

Cookies

The only cookies on this website are Google Analytics'. You can block them in your browser's settings, or with Google's opt-out add-on , and the site works the same without them.

While you browse, your browser remembers that you've already seen the opening animation, so it doesn't play again on every page. That note stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is gone when you close the tab.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and project emails for as long as we need them to work with you and keep our business records. Ask us and we'll delete what we hold about you, unless the law requires us to keep it, as with invoices.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Write to contact@plainhousestudio.com or call (347) 216-7096.

Children

This website is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
